A proud citizen of Malta, I first met Ruben around ten years ago while delivering talks in Malta for The Societies as part of a Mediterranean tour.
His warm and infectious personality attracts attention immediately. When Ruben is in a room, the atmosphere is instantly enlightened and joyful.
A former photographic president and a lecturer to this day, Ruben is an inspiring educator who needs to go onto your ‘must see’ list.
This day was primarily arranged for Ruben but thanks to his gracious invitation. We photographed Alina separately on a particularly cold and stormy winter’s day on the Cornish coast.
Alina was enamoured with Ruben’s charming personality and inspired by the raw atmosphere he breathed into her images.
