The dedicated Laurence Pang arrived back in Cornwall to be guided on capturing both environmental portraits as well traditional style portraits with the amazing Alina Le Sève.
We began what became an enjoyable day by heading to a West facing beach on Cornwall’s North coast. This was not only to include its beauty but also to enjoy its shelter from a strong and somewhat chilly Northeast wind.
Once there and sheltered, many fascinating elements are discussed including the changing weather conditions and which locations and camera techniques would yield the most pleasing results.
Satisfied that many good images had been captured, we then headed to a small but cosy dwelling to explore the art of flash photography with just one Elinchrom Three light. One light is principle that I love indulging because it’s based on the beautiful concept of one sun.
Both Alina and Laurence enjoyed creating many traditional style low key portraits (tones predominantly darker than grey) with nodes to the classical. Especially the amazing and quirky hair shot.
