This was an unplanned and opportunistic image.
While driving on the outskirts of Dartmoor National Park on a rainy day, I was suddenly gifted with this beautiful scene.
I pulled over and captured this image through the wet windscreen of the car. Setting the aperture to f2.8 on Fuji zoom lens resulted in the image being brought in through all of the lens element.
Because the lens then encompassed a larger circle of the wet wind screen, it created a beautiful, dreamy effect by merging and blurring the individual water droplets together.
A small aperture would have focused on a small section of the wind screen and begun resolving the shapes of the individual water droplets.
