Two Elinchrom Three’s. The living room of my dear friend Jenny’s home and her beautiful daughter Demelza was all that was needed.
Demelza excelled as our model wearing garments and accessories from The Market Cartel in Penzance, Cornwall.
Natural light bathed the living room from a large Northeast facing bay window. Window light from this direction is inherently soft and wonderful to work with. Its quality is further tempered here by the breadth and height of the window.
An Elinchrom Three (portable flashlight) was added to control the light on the planes of Demelza’s face and torso. A second Elinchrom Three was used in some images to heighten a three-dimensional feel.
The natural, available light and flash lighting were then balanced to co-exist.
A Fuji XT3 captured it all with a 50mm – 140mm lens. Set to f2.8 throughout.
