This is a quite typical scene around Cornwall’s coastline and one of the reasons I love it here. I live in a fishing port close to Lands’ End, so I can reach either coast very easily.
Usually twice a week, I will head out with a rucksack full of photo gear (whatever the weather), even when I’m not optimistic of capturing a single image.
The 12kg weight is enough to provide the essential exercise I need when on the steep inclines of our coastal paths. And of course, if a photographic opportunity arises, I’m ready.
For me, just being in a stoney cove amongst the swooshing and sloshing of foaming waves and an air so fragranced with a salty infusion. Or trekking the paths above and looking down on locations like this, is more than enough.
